Customs costs for Japan car export
The costs are percentage-based and are based on the purchase price and transport costs. In exceptions, the percentages may deviate from the specifications mentioned here.

Trucks, SUVs and Pick-Ups 22%
The import VAT is 19% and is also based on the purchase price and transaction costs. In addition, customs duties are also added here.
An exception to this are classic cars with 7%.
